Ready time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 6-8 nungu fruits (ice apples)
  • 1 cup water
  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar (adjust according to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Peel the outer skin of the nungu fruits and discard the skin.
  2. Remove the inner white flesh and discard the seed. Chop the flesh into small pieces.
  3. In a blender, add the chopped nungu flesh, water, sugar, and lemon juice.
  4. Blend until you get a smooth mixture.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any fibers or residue.
  6. Refrigerate the strained mixture for about 10-15 minutes to chill it.
  7. Once chilled, pour the nungu sherbet into serving glasses.
  8. Add ice cubes, if desired, to further cool the drink.
  9. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing and cooling nungu sherbet.
