Ingredients:
- 6-8 nungu fruits (ice apples)
- 1 cup water
- 3-4 tablespoons sugar (adjust according to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Peel the outer skin of the nungu fruits and discard the skin.
- Remove the inner white flesh and discard the seed. Chop the flesh into small pieces.
- In a blender, add the chopped nungu flesh, water, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Blend until you get a smooth mixture.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any fibers or residue.
- Refrigerate the strained mixture for about 10-15 minutes to chill it.
- Once chilled, pour the nungu sherbet into serving glasses.
- Add ice cubes, if desired, to further cool the drink.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
