  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilies to the pan. Cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, and red chili powder.
  5. Add the spice mixture to the pan and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring continuously.
  6. Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque, which usually takes about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the coconut milk and water. Stir well to combine.
  8. Season with salt according to your taste and let the curry simmer for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  9. Once the prawns are cooked through and the curry has thickened slightly, remove the pan from heat.
