Ingredients:
- 1 lb mutton, cut into small pieces
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 carrot, peeled and chopped
- 1 potato, peeled and chopped
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger paste and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the mutton pieces to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the cumin, coriander, and turmeric powder to the pot and stir to combine.
- Pour in the water and add the bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 45-50 minutes, or until the mutton is tender.
