Ingredients:
  • 1 cup peanuts, roasted and skin removed
  • 1 cup jaggery, grated
  • 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions:
  1. Heat a pan on medium heat and add ghee to it.
  2. Once the ghee melts, add the grated jaggery to the pan and stir until it melts completely.
  3. Add the roasted peanuts and cardamom powder to the melted jaggery. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Continue to cook the mixture on low heat, stirring continuously, for about 5-7 minutes until the jaggery starts to thicken and coat the peanuts.
  5. To check if the mixture is ready, take a small portion and drop it into a bowl of water. If it forms a hard ball, then it is cooked perfectly.
  6. Once the mixture is ready, quickly transfer it onto a greased surface or a greased plate.
  7. Flatten the mixture using a greased rolling pin or the back of a greased spoon. Be careful as the mixture will be hot.
  8. While the mixture is still hot, cut it into desired shapes using a greased knife or a cookie cutter.
  9. Allow the Peanut Chikki to cool completely and harden before removing them from the plate.
  10. Once cooled and hardened, store the Peanut Chikki in an airtight container.
